'No!'

Alex is still really poorly, and to add to his stinky cold and high temperature, the poor lad now has a stomach upset. He is miserable and tired most of the time and although he wasn’t too bad in nursery when he was distracted from it all, when he is at home he just lies down and doesn’t really want to do much. I have to say I am getting bored with the word ‘No!’, he says it to absolutely everything at the moment, mostly because he is uncomfortable and doesn’t want to do anything or eat much. What is frustrating is when he says ‘No’ when really he means ‘yes’. I hope he gets better soon otherwise it will be another trip to the doctor for us. That said he was a little brighter this evening and we had a nice gentle play time, bath time and reading time for the first time this week. To top it all off work has been totally hectic, which is hard when you are exhausted so I am very glad that it is the weekend! Crafting wise I have only managed to do one scrapbook layout based on sketch #75 from 'Stuck!', but I am quite pleased with it. The papers are a mixture of Bazzil and Making Memories and the title letters are Dovecraft, Papermania and Cuttlekid Tadpole Alphabet. I am not sure who makes the leaves, but I bought them cheaply in closing down sale and was pleased with the effect they have of making the layout look as busy as the day actually was! The title is ‘The Grand Garden Tidy’ and the journaling reads ‘Our garden had turned into a jungle of weeds, seedlings and overgrown hedges following the birth of Alex, so it was wonderful when my parents came up and spent a weekend transforming the jungle back into a garden, transporting three large car loads of rubbish to the tip in the process. 30th-31st Aug 2008'. I would love to know what you think of this and in the meantime, have a great weekend everyone.
Love,
Caro

Get well soon Alex.

LOVELY page and great record of the day - I remember your post about it and the reclaimed garden area which, hopefully, you will soon be able to enjoy to the full as spring is (reportedly) on its way.
